Gina DiCenso


Gina DiCenso serves in an of-counsel capacity to Formisano & Company. Her practice includes litigation of matters including discrimination and harassment claims, severance negotiation, medical leave claims, whistleblower claims, wage and hour claims, and ERISA claims. She represents individual, municipal and business clients in all phases of civil litigation from commencement of action through appeal before state and federal courts and administrative bodies, including the Rhode Island Supreme Court.  She has extensive experience achieving resolution of litigated matters through arbitration, mediation and negotiated settlement. 

She has broad-based litigation experience in the public and private sector, particularly in the areas of employment, municipal and labor law, civil and business litigation.  She has served as assistant solicitor, labor counsel and primary litigation counsel to several municipalities, providing counsel and representing them before Rhode Island municipal and state courts as well as the U.S. District Court.  She has presented cases before every state court in Rhode Island, including arguing numerous cases before the Rhode Island Supreme Court.  She is engaged by attorneys in Rhode Island for her expertise in legal research, writing and litigation strategy. 

Ms. DiCenso is the former Chair of the Rhode Island State Labor Relations Board.

Ms. DiCenso served as a mediator for the Department of Labor and Training.

Ms. DiCenso is a graduate of Georgetown University and St. John’s University School of Law.  She is a member of the bars of the State of Rhode Island and the State of New York and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island.  She is an active member of the Rhode Island Bar Association.
