His deep expertise includes Wage and Hour disputes, Severance Negotiation, Discrimination, Harassment, Medical Leave, ERISA and Whistleblowing claims.

Knowing the essential role that employment plays in the daily livelihood of an overwhelmingly large majority of Rhode Island and Massachusetts residents, Attorney Formisano fiercely advocates to protect, preserve and uphold the legal rights of each employee-client for whom he represents.
He is an active member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, (NELA), Labor and Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association, the Rhode Island Association for Justice plus serves as a Cooperating Attorney of the Rhode Island American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

In addition to Employment Law, Attorney Formisano also practices in the area of civil rights, particularly police brutality and misconduct matters, educational setting based discrimination and harassment, personal injury law plus general civil litigation.

An active member of the American Bar Association, American Association for Justice and Rhode Island Association for Justice and the Justinian Society, Attorney Formisano is experienced in practicing before federal and state courts as well as administrative agencies. He frequently appears before the federal district courts of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Supreme Court, and Rhode Island Supreme, Superior, District, Family, and Workers Compensation Courts.

Additionally, Attorney Formisano's administrative practice has included matters held before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Merit Systems Protection Board, OSHA, Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights, Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and a number of other state, federal and local administrative agencies.

A 1996 graduate of the University of New Hampshire School of Law in Concord, New Hampshire, Attorney Formisano also holds a Masters of Arts in English from Rhode Island College and a Bachelors of Art from St. Anselm College.
